Marco started his musical education in Sinaloa, Mexico, where he finished his Bachelors of Music degree, under guitarist and teacher Heriberto Soberanes and Juan Carlos Laguna. His desire to further his education took him to Cuba where he took lessons on Harmony and Guitar under the great Cuban maestro Jesus Ortega and later to California where he finished his Masters of Music degree under Canadian guitarist Steve Thachuk at CSUN. During this time he was chosen to conduct the guitar orchestra ensembles. Marco has attended master classes and workshops with great guitarists such as Oscar Ghiglia, Eliot Fisk and Manuel Barrueco, and has given guitar recitals in various cities in Mexico and the U.S. He appears on christian music CD's as a composer or performer and is currently working on his own recording. Some of is guitar compositions have been extensively played in various countries. Mr. Camacho currently lives in his home town in Culiacan, Sinaloa and teaches music courses and guitar at Escuela de Musica de la UAS and Escuela Superior de Arte ISIC. He collaborated in the double cd recording XXV Cuadros Mágicos with the music of Mexican composer Julio Cesar Oliva. He has been the General Director of the Culiacán Guitar Festival and Competition since 2012.
